Frequent problems with paid subscription

I have finally canceled the auto renew on this magazine. The magazine is good, the headache trying to access it each month is not worth the effort however. As an annual subscriber, I frequently see only the option to purchase instead of the download option. Restore Purchases never works, requiring me to contact the apps developers for assistance.

Terrible. Dont waste your money

I paid for a subscription nearly a year ago, yet every time I try to download the magazine they try to charge me .99. The developer has no support to speak of and will not acknowledge any error. Apple sees that I paid but they cannot understand why the magazine will not download. Apple will refund the money but I would have rather had the magazine.

Love the mag, hate the app

Really truly disappointing. After 30 minutes of trying to figure out who to get the app to sync with my current subscription, I gave up.

Dont bother

Sometimes disconnects and a pain to restore purchases. Now it wont restore previous purchased magazines or current subscription that doesnt expire until May 2015. Done with it. Dont care I have several months left. Turned off auto renewal and unsubscribed them from emailing me. Piece of crap app!

Love the magazine -- Hate the app!

Ive been an online subscriber for several years. I keep thinking PixelMags will fix this app, but they never do. The app has never worked properly. I have to constantly contact Customer Service when I get locked out. They fix things then, but the next time a new issue comes out, Im faced with the same problem again. Very frustrating!

Still a terrible app

Whilst other magazines I am subscribed to on the iPad are easy to open and read, AW constantly requires me to log in. This is very frustrating. Also, the magazine has gone a bit stale and repetitive. Am considering dropping my subscription after 30 years….

Garbage app

What a horrible app. Constant need to re-login. Restore purchases is useless. Have had to reinstall multiple times. Its embarrassing that the app has been this bad for this long

Not a good start

Been an e-subscriber for >4 years. Suffered through having to uninstall/reinstall, re-authenticate with old app. The new one has "fixed" it - cant Restore Purchases, cant log in, Password reset email never came. Dead app to me.

Should be zero stars!

For I could give this a 0 stars it would get it. Can get my subscription going again after this upgrade. At this point it is a waste of my money and time!

Terrible upgrade

Ive been a subscriber for 4 plus years. This is a terrible upgrade. Cant login; cant restore purchases. A complete waste.

Negative 5 Stars

Same as others...restoring doesnt work...log in doesnt work...password reset doesnt work. Ive been live-chatting with support for almost an hour. Nada. After 20 years I may dump Autoweek.

Broken

As the prior reviewer said. I cant reset, cant restore. Literal theft of my money is how this feels.

Worthless & Frustrating

See 1-3 above. Multiple attempts at restoring, logging on and getting new password have failed. Multiple attempts with "customer service " have been met with repeated requests for proof of purchase- which I have supplied equally repeatedly. Also repeatedly told to retry. Absolutely the worst app and service I have ever experienced. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Should still have a valid subscription but it doesnt seem to be working.

More Garbage

What is wrong with Autoweek? Once again the app does not work, The symptoms are always the same: cannot login, cannot reset the password, cannot download. It might be time to hire some real software developers.

Much improved app for reading on phone

This new app gives you a scrolling experience on the phone so you can actually read articles. Big improvement. I was also able to restore my purchases so the problems experienced by others here seems fixed. I wish more magazines offered this experience as its been very frustrating to try to read magazines on my phone.

Junk!

The new app does not work! I have been a paying customer since the beginning of digital and now my credentials dont work and customer service hasnt gotten back to me all week. I need a refund or they need to actually make it work. Junk!

Update doesnt work

After the update, I could not restore my purchased subscription. To try to work around this, I resubscribed hoping the new sub would be added to my current sub. Now I have two subscriptions and neither of them allow me to download issues. How do I get my money back?
